  1. What is the Horizon Employee Preparedness application?
    This application is a mobile phone implementation of the Horizon Emergency Guide step tab booklet we have distributed for reference during a variety of emergency situations. It is intended to provide people with important information about actions to be taken in the event of an emergency on the platform they are most likely to have with them at all times, their mobile phone.
  2. What platforms are supported for the application?
    We currently recommend that you operate on iOS Version 14.0 and higher. For Android we recommend Version 9 and higher.
  3. How do I use the supplied information?
    The current version of this application contains information about recommended procedures in the event of various types of emergencies including weather-related incidents, fires, or hostile intruders. The information supplied describes actions you should take in these situations. The current version also includes important contact information.
  4. Does the content in the application get updated?
    The application is updated every time you open the application. This automatic update process is designed to help ensure that you always have access to the most current Emergency Information.
  5. I have installed the application but it is asking me for an access key. What do I do?
    The public distributions of the application include a gateway that requires users to enter a one-time passcode to access the content. The passcode was distributed to users via an internal memo. Please contact Horizon's Business Continuity Management team at business_continuity@horizonblue.com to get the passcode resent to you.
  6. The application loads but immediately crashes when I open the application.
    Please delete the application and try to reinstall after verifying that your device operating system is within our recommended range. You may also use the Support link on this page to submit a ticket for additional support.
  7. I cannot get the application to run. Now what?
